I'm very excited to be exhibiting at the Custom House, King's Lynn starting on Saturday 3rd June and running for eight days. There you will find a selection of my marine paintings, some still drying out! The iconic Custom House is right by the river and in the heart of the old town.
Right opposite is Groundwork, currently showing 'the Art of Waste', a must see.
Next door Purfleet Brasserie is showcasing edgy and thought provoking work by Andrew Schumann, well known Norfolk artist.
With only a week to go before I set up my own exhibition I have been for a long walk along the sea wall and on the beach at Wells, with time for a quick sketch on the way back to the town. Then I did a tour of some of the amazing studios of the artists taking part in North Norfolk Studios Open 2023 (27th May - 4th June).
I started along the quayside and saw work by Toby Newman, John Richter and Debbie Lyddon, all in their own studios. Next I went to the lovely gallery space in the Maltings, which is being shared by a number of local artists.
Finally I visited Alison Henry, sculptor and Linda Pattrick, painter - what an inspiration to see such exciting art. If you are in Wells next the Sea this week make sure you walk or drive round the art trail and if you're in King's Lynn 3rd - 10th June come and see me!
